A friendly local pub that has just undergone a refurbishment. We serve a variety of great food which is locally sourced, fresh and homemade. We are both dog and family friendly, with a great play area for the kids.
Up until April 2019 we were a Greene King run pub, we are now a free house. We have recently had a change in management as well. With this we have changed the menu and food in a big way. We now locally source all of our meats and fish and home cook all of our food!!
We are a family friendly pub with a kids play area in our large beer garden. This is the perfect place to come for some food, let the kids play and enjoy a beverage. If you would like to bring your dog, that's OK too. We are dog friendly, all we ask is you keep them on leads.
During the week we have a variety of activities & events going on. On Tuesdays our pool team take part in the Bedford pool league, and Thursdays our darts team take part in the Bedford Darts League. Sunday however is music quiz night with a range of cash prizes to be won!
Like sports? Look no further as we have 5 big TVs and a projector all with Sky and BT Sports. So wanna watch the footie? The Fox will have it on.

At the time of writing, this pub has now closed down. A great shame as it had been a very good family-friendly pub with good entertainment.
was with my friends wednesday and was the rudest and unwelcoming pub ever. some of us don’t drink alcohol yet demanded we all buy drinks or out. do not recommend. never met such a rude man in my life
Chef absolutely unprofessional and spoke down to the poor young man on the bar, who from what I can gather was on his first shift. Terrible behaviour from a fully grown man. It’s put me off returning.
On one visit the fire brigade was there because the kitchen was on fire ! The next visit was very quiet but the whole of the bar area smelt of burnt old deep fryer fat. I've never seen a menu but they do food. Drinks were priced in today's norm and well served in the correct glass The above review was NOT compiled by me and I apologise unreservedly for any upset that it may have caused. Always friendly staff. I've now read the other reviews, but I've never met the landlord.
This pub took us ages to find. We needed a child friendly pub that was showing the football. We must have called at least 20 and had no luck! Lady was very friendly on the phone. We walked in and was greeted with a smile. The staff were all lovely.the food was incredible very tasty and very good value for money. For a family of 6 we all had drinks a meal and a dessert and spent around £80 Lots to choose from on the menu. Chef was great. Atmosphere for the footy was great! Had a lovely afternoon. Thankyou.
Sorry, we don't have any current events or offers for this pub.
